Rated 5 out of 5 by from The show was great and they gave us a long show. It's so refreshing seeing an entertainer enjoying themselves and giving of themselves for the audience. Vince Gill is such a humble and real artist. Loved meeting his friends and band members that have meant so much to him throughout his career. There was so much true talent at this sow, it was incredible. Thank you Grand Ole Opry!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A little disappointing It said Richard Marx will perform but he was not in the show. I don't know what happened, but i paid $100 for these tickets, and it was not worth it.

About The Grand Ole Opry

Grand Ole Opry

Founding:November 1925
Founder:George D. Hay
City:Nashville, TN
Genres:Country, bluegrass, gospel, etc.
Resources: Official Website

Founded in November 1925, the Grand Ole Opry is a weekly country concert hosted primarily at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN. Counting many of the top country, bluegrass, gospel, and related artists among its membership, admission to the Opry is typically seen as an honor for elite performers. Roy Acuff, Webb Pierce, EmmyLou Harris, Trace Adkins, and Garth Brooks are just some of the Opry's more than 100 members.

Originating as the WSM Barn Dance, the radio-broadcasted concert brought in harmonica, banjo, and fiddle players. The program quickly became one of the premier shows for country and western music in the United States. The show now brings in thousands of attendees and radio listeners per year. By 1939 the program was airing on the NBC Red Network and by 1943 it had setup shop at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. In 1974, it moved to its permanent home at the Opry House. The Opry continues to host some performances at the Ryman.
