This year's Hangout Music Fest will feature headliners Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Stevie Wonder, and Kings of Leon. Additional bands include the Trey Anastasio Band, The Roots, The Black Crowes, and Bassnectar. Over 60 bands are scheduled to play at the festival overall. About the Hangout Music Fest

The Hangout Music Festival was founded in 2010 in Gulf Shores, AL. Some of the bands and acts that performed in the first year included Trey Anastasio, the Zac Brown Band, The Roots, John Legend, and Allison Krauss and Union Station. That year attracted 13,000-15,000 people. For the 2011 show, attendance was capped at 35,000, and this has remained the upper limit ever since. Hangout features a variety of music styles, including rock, blues, funk, and R&B.
