Hillsong United Biography

Hillsong United was formed in 1998 by the youth ministry at Hillsong Church, a megachurch in Sydney. The group was encouraged to record an album by Hillsong worship leader Darlene Zschech, which resulted in the EP, One. The following year, Hillsong United released the live album, Everyday. Both albums reached gold status in Australia. Aside from the band's live albums and extended plays, Hillsong United has released four studio albums.

Hillsong United's lineup is often changing since the band is mostly made up of volunteers. Currently, Hillsong United consists of Michael Guy Chislett, Matt Crocker, Adam Crosariol, Jonathon Douglass, Jad Gillies, Joel Houston, Simon Kobler, Taya Smith, Benjamin Tennikoff, and Dylan Thomas.
