Part biography and part concert, Jersey Boys tells the story of the 1960s pop band The Four Seasons. The Newark, New Jersey-based group with working class roots struggles to become superstars while dealing with gambling, the Italian mafia, and Beatlemania. Even with good intentions and Frankie Valli's falsetto voice, they have one problem after another and find that sudden fame isn't easy to achieve.
Eventually, the band becomes one of the most famous acts of their era, but life is not easy for Frankie Valli, Tommy DeVito, Nick Massi, Bob Gaudio, and the boys. The cast of characters also includes Gyp DeCarlo, a mob boss; Mary Delgado, Frankie's first wife; and Joe Pesci, the actor. The musical has received rave reviews throughout its history.
