Although Joe Bonamassa toured for most of 2015, he's not showing any signs of slowing up in 2016. The blues artist will be touring in two legs, with the first beginning on April 23 at Terrace Theater in Long Beach, CA. From there, Joe Bonamassa will stop at venues across the country, including at the Reno Events Center in Reno, NV, Orpheum Theatre in Madison, WI, and the Tropicana Showroom in Atlantic City, NJ. The leg wraps up at Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton, NH on May 28.After a lone date at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on July 19, Joe Bonamassa will launch the second leg of his tour at Centre in the Square in Kitchener, ON on November 15. Other stops include the Bushnell Theatre in Hartford, CT, the Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham, NC, and Brady Theater in Tulsa, OK. Blues musician Joe Bonamassa was born on May 8, 1977 in Upstate New York. Joe Bonamassa’s father was a passionate music fan and began teaching him how to play guitar at age four. His father also exposed Joe Bonamassa to lots of blues rock, including music from Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck, who Joe Bonamassa credited with much of his influence.
By age 12, Joe Bonamassa had formed his own band called Smokin’ Joe Bonamassa. The band performed on weekends throughout Upstate New York and Pennsylvania. Around the same time, in 1989, Joe Bonamassa also served as the opening act at approximately twenty B.B. King concerts.
In 2000, Joe Bonamassa released his debut album A New Day Yesterday. The album featured both original music and covers of artists, including Rory Gallagher, Jethro Tull, and Warren Haynes. The album was met with commercial success and peaked at number nine on the US Billboard Top Blues Albums chart.
Joe Bonamassa’s second studio album, So, It’s Like That was released in 2002 and consisted entirely of original material. The album topped the US Billboard Top Blues Albums chart.As of 2016, Joe Bonamassa has released a total of 12 studio albums. Out of those albums, seven peaked at the number one spot on the US Billboard Top Blues Albums chart.
