About Donn Arden's Jubilee!

In 1916, Donn Arden was born in Saint Louis, MO. As a young man, he took dance lessons but decided that he preferred choreography. His career began in Cleveland, OH, creating stage shows for night clubs. In 1950, he created the Donn Arden Dancers to perform at the Desert Inn in Nevada. Soon, he began to stage French-style shows like the dance revues in Paris. Audiences loved these productions, and Donn Arden's Lido de Paris show ran for over 20 years. These experiences culminated in his masterpiece Las Vegas variety show, Jubilee! One of his greatest achievements, Jubilee! combines both French and American influences into a magnificent showgirl extravaganza. Because of his high standards, Donn Arden only hires classically trained dancers for Jubilee! and other shows. And today, Jubilee! is still one of the most popular revues in Las Vegas.
