Micah S. Katt Williams was born on September 2, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was raised in Dayton, which is approximately one hour north of the city. Williams was an exceptionally smart child. He learned how to read at a very young age but later on purposely flunked a test to avoid a scholarship. Instead of an academic career, Katt Williams started taking interest in music and comedy. He quickly worked his way up to becoming a local personality, and soon he was a household name on the BET network, where he was part of shows such as Comic View. But that was still only the beginning of his success. According to his bio on Comedy Central, Katt Williams' extensive resume includes the MTV show Wild n' Out, NYPD Blue, Girlfriends, The Tracy Morgan Show, and My Wife and Kids, plus he provided the voice for an animated Boondocks character, a pimp named Slickback. In addition, he is a frequent guest in music videos of his hip hop artist friends.
Katt Williams eventually started to appear in a number of box office hits. Among them are Friday After Next, Epic Movie, Norbit, and his latest work, Katt Williams: American Hustle - The Movie. The comedy tour that accompanied this movie took place in the fall of 2007. Audiences around the country went to see the comedian live and caught a preview of his latest film work.
