Prior to making its Broadway debut, Legally Blonde underwent a trial run at San Francisco's Golden Gate Theatre. Upon receiving positive reviews, Legally Blonde made its way to the East Coast and rolled out the pink carpet at the Palace Theatre on Broadway. This Tony nominated musical is based on the MGM hit film Legally Blonde that is such blast, it will have you thinking…This much fun just shouldn't be legal!

Follow the perennially perky Elle Woods on a voyage to where no Delta Nu sorority girl has gone before, Harvard Law. From palm trees to Ivy League, Elle is determined to win back her boyfriend, Warner Huntington III. In Legally Blonde, Elle confronts the challenge of taking on Warner's new fiancée, Vivian Kensington, to prove that she, too, can be serious. Elle is met with jeering and criticizing looks when she arrives at Harvard, but Elle stays positive with inspirational words from her Delta Nu girls.

Elle meets a teaching assistant, Emmett Forrest, who unimpressed by her love problems, insists that she buckle down and study. Elle realizes shortly after, that it is her obsession with Warner that is pushing him further away and preventing her from earning his respect. Emmett is an assistant to Professor Callahan, and Elle earns a coveted position within Professor Callahan's internship program. Under Emmett's direction, Elle takes on a case of her own and wins. After seeing her determination, Warner proposes to Elle, but Elle gently declines. Years later, Elle graduates valedictorian of her class and the story concludes with a proposal to Emmett… which is accepted of course!
