Little Big Town is a country quartet founded in Nashville, TN in 1998. The group consists of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet. The group first signed with Mercury Nashville Records, however they never released any singles or albums on the label. Instead, they sang backup vocals and wrote for various artists, including Collin Raye and Sherrie Austin.
In 2002, Little Big Town signed with Monument Records for the release of their debut album, Little Big Town. The group’s self-titled album was released on May 21, 2002 and featured the singles “Don’t Waste My Time” and “Everything Changes,” both of which reached spots on the US Billboard country charts.
In 2005, the band signed to Equity Music Group and released their second album, The Road to Here. The album, which featured the singles “Boondocks” and “Bring It On Home” was certefied Platinum by the RIAA. The album was also nominated for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards.
Since then, Little Big Town has gone on to release four more studio albums, most recently Pain Killer in 2014. The same year, the group also embarked on "The Pain Killer Tour” in the album’s support. The tour consists of four legs and will continue through November 2015.
