Despite the weather, fans have been enjoying the unique performances. Seeing today's king of country in such a country setting is quite an experience and tickets for his latest Farm Tour sold out fast. Luke was born Thomas Luther Bryan on July 17, 1976 in the rural town of Leesberg, Georgia. He was born the youngest of three siblings to parents Tommy and LeClaire. His talent surfaced early, and less than a year after receiving his first guitar at age 14, he was playing with local bands at a country music club in town. He soon began writing his own songs and made plans to move to Nashville after high school in hopes of growing his talent and continuing his early success, some day hoping a Luke Bryan ticket would be something fans sought after. Tragically, however, his brother passed away in a car accident as he was going to leave. To offer support to his family, he opted to stay close to home and attend Georgia Southern University, but he did not give up on his country music dream. Not long after graduating from college, he began working for his father and the family business. Not long after, his father, not wanting to see his son give up on his dream, fired his son and told him to move to Nashville to pursue his dreams of country music stardom.
Once in Nashville, he worked during the day and played at local clubs whenever he could. During one of his performances, a representative from Capitol Records saw him and gave him a contract. During this time, he began working with, and writing songs for, Travis Tritt and Billy Currington as he worked on his debut album, I’ll Stay Me, which was released in 2007. He wrote or co-wrote a majority of the songs on his album with the single "Country Man" making it to number 10 on the charts and "We Rode in Trucks" making it to number 33. Multiple Luke Bryan albums have followed, including Doin' My Thing in 2009, Tailgates & Tanlines in 2011, and Crash My Party in 2013. Many of these albums included chart topping originals, including "Rain is a Good Thing" and "Someone Else Calling You Baby" from Doin' My Thing as well as "Country Girl (Shake it for Me)" from Tailgates & Tanlines, and "Crash My Party" from Crash My Party. Bryan has released a series of spring break themed EP's as well, resulting in his 2013 compilation album, Spring Break… Here to Party. Playing to the college crowd has paid dividends for the star and has certainly helped move a number of Luke Bryan tickets for college kids looking to have some fun.
While the star has certainly won approval of country music fans, he has also been acclaimed by critics. He has also received multiple awards during his time in the spotlight, including "Top New Solo Vocalist" and "Top New Artist" at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2010, a nine category sweep at the American Country Awards in 2012, and "Top Country Artist” and “Top Country Album" at the Billboard Music Awards in 2014.
Most recently, Bryan embarked on his "That’s My Kind of Night Tour 2014" with fellow artists Lee Brice and Cole Swindell. He's followed that up with the "Farm Tour" with Sam Hunt, the Peach Pickers and more. It's been a wild few years for the kid from Georgia, and if he keeps rockin' like this, Luke Bryan tickets are going to be hot sellers for a while!
