About Macbeth Tickets

Macbeth is the tenth opera from Giuseppe Verdi. Set in four acts with an Italian libretto by Francesco Maria Piave and additions by Andrea Maffei, the opera is based on Shakespeare's play. Verdi's rendition is the first of Shakespeare's plays to be adapted for the opera stage, and was written after the success of Attila in 1846. The 1847 version of Macbeth was a successful production, and Verdi went on to write Otello in 1887, based on Othello, and Falstaff in 1893, based on The Merry Wives of Windsor.

Opera is a sophisticated form of musical theater that usually includes elaborate costumes and scenery. Modern audiences love Macbeth - Opera, along with other classic productions. Some popular contemporary works include The Barber of Seville, La Boheme, and Carmen, which deals with the life and death of a gypsy.
