At least according to Matilda Wormwood, a young book lover who is wise beyond her years and discovers she has secret telekinetic powers. A notorious prankster whose intellect is severely underappreciated, Matilda sometimes uses her powers to play tricks on evil Miss Trunchbull, the school headmistress who has a penchant for putting children in a torture chamber.
