Minnesota Twins Ticket Graphic

The 2015 season was a disappointing one for the Minnesota Twins and their fans, finishing in last place of the AL Central Division. Coming into this year, the franchise has made changes to try to go from worst to first in 2016. The team hired former player and Hall of Famer Paul Molitor to be their manager, and re-signed Minnesota Twin legend Torii Hunter after he spent the last few seasons in Detroit. Find Twins tickets at TicketNetwork.com and head to Target Field for a game this season!

The Twins franchise joined Major League Baseball in 1901, when were located in the nation's capital. Originally known as the Washington Senators, the franchise changed its name to the Nationals in 1905, and played under that nickname up until the franchise moved to Minnesota and became the Twins. Now, the Twins have one of the best home-field advantages of any team in baseball. In 2010, the Twins moved to from the Metrodome to the brand new Target Field, giving their loyal fan base an even better experience at the ballpark.

Since relocating to Minnesota, the Twins have been able to capture two World Series titles. At the center of those teams was outfielder Kirby Puckett. Few players have been tied to a franchise the way Puckett is tied to the Twins. His diminutive stature made him a fan favorite and his talent made him a feared player around the league. Over his storied career, Puckett became known for making amazing catches, most notably in Game 6 of the 1991 World Series, and hitting over 200 home runs. His number, 34, was retired in 1997 and he was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001.

Twins fans now have a new player that they have attached themselves to, the team's current first baseman Joe Mauer. Born in St. Paul, Mauer is the hometown hero and fans of Minnesota are glad that he is on their team. One of the best hitters in baseball, Mauer has won several awards over the years, including AL MVP in 2009, six All-Star appearances, and five Silver Slugger Awards, among others.
