About Natasha Bedingfield

Natasha Bedingfield truly defied the odds when she broke out into the UK music scene in 2004 and then went on to become popular in America a couple of years later. In a world where few musical artists achieve recognition, Bedingfield is now recognized worldwide! Is it any wonder that Natasha Bedingfield tickets are such hot commodities? Natasha Bedingfield has both talent and beauty; Maxim magazine even ranked her #72 on its list of the hottest 100 people of 2008! Natasha Bedingfield has become one of the hottest stars to hit the music scene in years.

In London, England, Natasha Bedingfield was born to parents who were both charity workers. Musical interest runs in the family, as Bedingfield has three siblings who are also in the music business. Early on in life, Natasha's parents encouraged her to pursue her musical interest, and she took guitar and piano lessons. According to BMI.com, Bedingfield and her musical siblings formed a Christian band called The DNA Algorithm and she performed with them before going out on her own to create music. Natasha Bedingfield spent a year at a university, where she discovered psychology and how it related to writing music people could relate to. After a year at university, Bedingfield decided to make music her full-time occupation.

Unwritten, Natasha Bedingfield's first album, was a smash hit in 2004 in the UK and was released in the US in 2005 to continued rave reviews. The singles from Unwritten include "Single," "These Words," "Unwritten," "I Bruise Easily," and "The One That Got Away." One thing that makes Bedingfield's first album particularly unique is her obvious willingness to share the spotlight with other artists. Most of the songs on Unwritten were made with other artists as collaborators, though Bedingfield always remained the star of the music. The title song from her first album is perhaps best known in the U.S. as the theme song for MTV's TV reality-drama The Hills. Bedingfield's second album, called N.B., was released in the UK in 2007, and the reviews were a little more mixed than with her previous album. In 2008, N.B. was renamed and released in the U.S. as Pocket Full of Sunshine, where it met with success. Natasha Bedingfield collaborated with other artists less on her second album, focusing instead on more of her own unique sound.
