In 1995, Canadian rock band Nickelback formed in Hanna, Alberta with original members Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger, and Brandon Kroeger. Of the original three Kroeger brothers, only Brandon (who was the drummer) has since left the group. The current lineup features Daniel Adair on the drums. Nickelback eventually relocated from the mall town of Hannah to Vancouver, British Columbia. The band released their first album Curb, in 1996. Though Curb had a cult following, it did not perform well on the Billboard charts. However, in 2001 Nickelback's second album Silver Side Up produced the single "How You Remind Me." "How Your Remind Me" became an instant mainstream hit and the song quickly shot to the top of the charts, eventually winning four Grammy nominations for Nickelback. Its parent album was equally successful, shooting up to number one in the band's native Canada, and topped or was near the top of the chart in several other countries.
After their 2001 hit CD, very popular Nickelback albums were soon to follow including The Long Road, All the Right Reasons, and their most recent album Dark Horse. Critics compare Nickelback's sound to post-grunge groups like Daughtry, Finger Eleven, and 3 Doors Down, but the group's popular appeal and Nickelback ticket sales brought the band to a new level of success. The group released their sixth studio album, Dark Horse, in November of 2008. If you enjoyed All the Right Reasons songs like "Photograph," "Far Away," and "Rockstar," you will love the music on Nickelback's newest album, Dark Horse. The Dark Horse album includes songs like "Shakin' Hands," "Never Gonna Be Alone," and "This Afternoon." Preparing for Nickelback concerts, the group began their Dark Horse Tour in February 2009. The official Nickelback tour dates for 2009 are out, and you can get Nickelback Dark Horse Tour seats now.
