About Other Desert Cities Tickets

This smart and funny new play will make you feel like you have been invited right into the delightfully dysfunctional Wyeth family’s living room. Written by Jon Robin Baitz, creator of Brothers and Sisters, the show is filled with the quick and clever dialogue fans have come to expect of his work. The original 2011 Broadway production starred Stockard Channing as the matriarch and Rachel Griffith as the prodigal daughter returning with some explosive news. Classical stage legend Stacy Keach played the oh-so-Republican patriarch. Thomas Sadoski played the laidback son and Judith Light was the alcoholic aunt. The show was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Play, and Judith Light took home the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play. Other Desert Cities Plot Summary

Other Desert Cities is the story of a particular Christmas gathering of the Wyeth family in their Palm Springs home. On this holiday the Wyeth’s novelist daughter Brooke returns home to announce she has written a tell-all memoir about the family, much to her parents' dismay. Former members of the Reagan inner circle, Lyman and Polly have some secrets they would rather keep to themselves. Their son Trip tries (unsuccessfully) to stay out of the eruption that follows Brooke’s announcement, while aunt Silda feeds fuel to the fire. Find Other Desert Cities tickets today.
