Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born on February 20, 1988 in St. Michael, Barbados to mother Monica Braithwaite and father Ronald Fenty. Ever since she was a little girl, Rihanna had a great passion for music. Rihanna made a life altering decision at the age of 16 when she moved to the United States to pursue her music career with record producer Evan Rogers.
Since her arrival in the US, Rihanna has been dedicated to her music and her fans. Rihanna’s musical performances come from a variety of genres and inspirations from her childhood. Her fans appreciate the diversity of her music and how she creates it on her own, taking influences from R&B, reggae, dancehall, pop, dance, and urban pop. Over the years, Rihanna released eight albums: Music of the Sun, A Girl like Me, Good Girl Gone Bad, Rated R, Loud, Talk That Talk, Unapologetic, and Anti. Not only is Rihanna one of the best-selling artists of all time, having sold over 200 million albums worldwide, she is also an executive producer, video director, author, and actress.
