Sesame Street Live - A Brief History
Sesame Street Live originated back in 1980, with the performance of "A Sesame Street Mystery" at the Met Center in Minnesota. Today, Sesame Street Live exists as three separate tours that crisscross their way across the United States. Each tour has a separate plot, scenery, characters, and sound track. The three Sesame Street Live tours that are currently playing are When Elmo Grows Up, Elmo Makes Music, and Ready For Action.
When Elmo Grows Up features a new Muppet, Abby Cadabby. As they prepare for a pageant on Sesame Street, Elmo and his friends discuss what they would like to be when they grow up. Everyone's favorite Sesame Street characters learn lessons on teamwork, imagination, and perseverance. Most of all, this production of Sesame Street Live teaches children that if they believe in themselves and try hard enough, their possibilities are endless.
Elmo Makes Music features a new character on Sesame Street, Jenny the music teacher. When Jenny realizes that her instruments are missing, the Muppets discover that many of the things they have already, like trash can lids, cookie jars, and rubber duckies, can be used to make music. When they see this version of Sesame Street Live, children will learn that, by using a little imagination, everyone can make music together.
Ready For Action features Super Grover, who is having a hard time finding his "superness." With his fellow Sesame Street friends, Grover learns new healthy habits including exercise, nutrition, sleep, and hygiene that will help him get ready for action. When children go to see Ready For Action, they will learn healthy habits that they can use for life.
