About Stomp Out Loud
Stomp Out Loud, the newest incarnation of the STOMP family, is the culmination of over 25 years of collaboration on the part of the creators, Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas. Cresswell, a self-taught percussionist and TV writer, teamed up with McNicholas, an actor/musician/writer, in 1981 as members of two projects in the U.K. One project the two men worked on was a street band called Pookiesnackenburger and a theatre group called Cliff Hanger. Several years later, in 1986, the two men formed Yes/No People, which began the exploration of the formula that later made STOMP an incredible success. Following many performances and television appearances, the Yes/No People financed, produced, and directed STOMP, which premiered in London in 1991, where it was showered with the first of many accolades the show would receive. The following year, STOMP toured the U.K. and the world and became a sensational hit wherever they performed. In 1994, STOMP made its first appearance at the Orpheum Theatre in New York, and the show still runs there to this day, an unprecedented success after nearly 15 years! STOMP's popularity in New York City eventually prompted several touring companies, and in 2007 Stomp Out Loud opened in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

Stomp Out Loud - What Critics Say
- "A happy-go-lucky bunch of young people come on stage and make some noise. Lots of noise. They clap, they bang on trashcans, they -- yes -- stomp. A peculiar theatrical phenomena that finally gives drummers respect, the Stomp troupes are percussion whizzes. There is nothing they can't make a beat out of or even turn into primitive music. Why is this 'out loud'? Apparently because the cast is bigger, with 16 people, which makes it louder. Or something. Performers start with a set of push brooms and move to the aforementioned trashcans, plus water jugs, boxes, key rings, lighters (which makes for a great affect in a dark theater), even newspapers and garbage bags. The onstage joy is infectious, plus it's refreshing to see a racially and physically mixed cast, as opposed to the usual line-up of generic impossibly pretty people. Hardly mentally challenging, perhaps just a bit repetitious, and certainly not for those who would consider it all just noise (and for any parents who have to endure their kid's post-show imitative pounding, we apologize), but it is as fun and funny as it is clever." - Frommer for The New York Times
- "At the Stomp Out Loud production in Las Vegas, audiences are introduced to another world, where music is not made by familiar, standard instruments, but instead by unlikely gadgets like wheel rims, trash cans, roulette wheels and various accessories. Before entering the theater at Planet Hollywood Resort, guests are also treated to a workshop space that showcases the objects used in the show. You can test your music-making skills, making it a great place for kids. The 1,500-seat showroom, designed specifically for Stomp Out Loud, has an industrial, warehouse feel to it with its street signs and other random objects tacked high upon the walls…The Vegas version of the show expands on the fundamentals established throughout the years in Stomp's productions. New routines and choreography involving a lively and energetic cast of young people make the sounds come alive. If you are looking for a fun and innovative show, be sure to check out this latest sound on the Vegas Strip." - Las Vegas Sun

But after seeing Stomp Out Loud and discovering their musical potential, audiences can't wait to get their hands on them. Combining percussion, killer dance moves and visual comedy, Stomp Out Loud at Planet Hollywood doesn't miss a beat. Stomp Out Loud - What Fans Say
- "Ever since I heard about STOMP I wanted to see it. After 12 years I finally went and it was worth every penny I paid for the tickets. I took my 11-year-old son. He was mesmerised from the start. He was totally 'into it'! We were both fascinated by the 'music' that was created by everyday things. We had a great time." - Mrs. Chip at Buzzillions.com
- " What a fabulous show!! Incredible talent!! I would see it again and again. It was far from a full house when we saw it; however, I give it another couple of months, and I'm guessing tickets will be hard to come by. It's very entertaining, and it's over before you know it. It's 90 minutes long, and it seemed like 30!! Do yourself a favor the next time you are searching for a show to enjoy in Vegas....and go see Stomp Out Loud You won't be sorry!" - T&L at TripAdvisor
- "I surprised my husband last minute with tickets to see Stomp as an early Valentine's Day gift. He is NOT a theatre kind of guy. Not only were our seats 5th row center (OUTSTANDING), but we smiled from ear to ear from beginning to end. We were in awe and amazement. Not to mention, we laughed a lot too! It was a wonderful thing to experience together." - Erin at Buzzillions.com
