Ballet
Ballet is a form of dance that combines other elements, such as theater and music, into a classical production. It can be assumed that the word ballet originated from ballare, the Latin verb for "dancing." There are male and female ballet dancers and they generally use a technique called en pointe, which is French for "dancing on the tip of your toes."Ballet has its origins in the Renaissance, but really became popular in Russia and in France under King Louis XIV.
