Rated 5 out of 5 by from All three bands were stellar! What I really love about Tedeschi Trucks is how they merge with the other bands on the ticket. TD band's added horn section was a treat and their backup singers/players were spot on. Susan Tedeschi just keeps getting better chops on the guitar and as always, her vocal range and tone is one of the best ever for blues and rock. I like that she looks like a mom and then kicks *ss on the guitar while belting out the blues! No pretention, no theatrics, no objectifying women! Note to the soundman: although I LOVE listening to Derek's slide guitar, at times, he was much too loud in the mix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thoroughly impressed My husband and I had a great time. Amy Helm was new to us and she had an awesome voice as did her musicians. Their harmonies were powerful and flawless. Lots of fun. TTB was incredible and better live than their albums (which I LOVE). Susan's voice was more amazing than when recorded and Derek's solos were incredible. Their band is so talented and the trombone player had us smiling the entire time. So worth the money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best band performance I've seen in 20 years Best concert I've been to in 20 years. Tedeschi has great voice and oozes bluesy passion and soul. Trucks is simply the best and slides magic on his guitar. This band is all about their music and they are true genuine performers. Chicago Theater perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fantastic concert this show was one of the better concerts that I've seen. I have seen over a hundred concerts and from start to finish it was fantastic. North Mississippi all stars opened and I hadn't seen them before put on a great set. Los Lobos was next I was looking forward to seeing their set. Seen a quick set of theirs at Clapton's crossroads show in 2007 and was blown away by the song Mas y mas which they played here with Derek Trucks. T.T.Band was headliner and I'm just a huge fan now have been since that same Clapton show in 2007. I'm a huge slide guitar fan and Mr. Trucks is one of the best I've ever heard. I could go on but won't. Next day in a Starbucks in the hotel I was staying I'm in line and in front of me was Cesar Rojas FROM Los Lobos. I was very honored to talk to him and is a very cool guy. I asked if I could get a picture with him and he said no problem. Very honored Cesar thank-you. Luther Dickinson was also in line and did talk to him for a couple of minutes. Stupid me didn't ask for a picture. Very cool guy also. Funny thing I'm not a coffee drinker once in awhile a cappuccino so if it wasn't for that cappuccino I wouldn't had this wonderful lifetime memory. Venue was very cool. The lawn chairs weren't very comfortable and four folks behind me wanted to talk for most of show otherwise its a fabulous venue and I recommend it to all.

Tedeschi Trucks Band

Jazz music has been around since the early 1900s, when it developed in New Orleans, Louisiana. New Orleans lends its melting pot appeal and unique flavor to style, which incorporates a variety of instruments including clarinets, drums, saxophones, trombones, and trumpets. One of the most famous American jazz musicians was Louis Armstrong, and some popular contemporary jazz musicians include Kenny G. and Tedeschi Trucks Band.

Blues got its name from its extensive use of blue notes that are common across both jazz and blues music. Blues emerged in the latter parts of the 19th century in African American communities in the southern United States. At first developing amongst agricultural workers, blues music eventually spread north and contributed to the creation of other genres such as rhythm and blues. Like jazz, blues music incorporates clarinets, drums, saxophones, trombones, trumpets, and other instruments along with vocals. Modern blues artists include Etta James, B.B. King, and Taj Mahal.
