The Assembled Parties infuses drama and humor in its modern take on family struggles.Written by Tony award winner Richard Greenberg, The Assembled Parties is Greenberg’s tenth collaboration with Manhattan Theatre Club. The Assembled Parties Plot Summary

The Bascovs, an Upper West Side Jewish family, gather for their annual holiday dinner in a sprawling Central Park West apartment. There’s Julie Bascov, former movie star; her husband, Ben; her brother, Mort Bascov; and her sister-in-law, Faye — and then there’s Jeff. Jeff joins the Bascov dinner for the first time and does more than just throw a wrench in their plans when he wiggles his way into the family’s drama. As 2001 approaches, a whole 20 years later, the Bascovs’ alleged picture-perfect life is on the verge of collapse.
