Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Family Entertainment True to classic Globetrotter style, this event was perfect for families as well as folks of all ages. The sheer talents of the players always amazes, and it never fails that there is plenty of comedy mixed in! The ability of the players to ad lib with random members of the audience is awesome! There weren't as many spectators as I figured there would be, but this didn't prevent the Globetrotters from putting on a great show. I'm glad I got to take my kids to see something that I enjoyed when I was a kid...hopefully, someday, they will get to take their kids! Overall, great show!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but at times boring. I really enjoyed seeing them on tv when i was a kid but has not seen a whole lot of new tricks after 30 years where I would say "WOW! That was really good." or that is new. In fact, a lot of what would've been a wow moment didn't pan the way it should like missing a lot of 3-point shots, half court hook shot and that full court throw from the guy on top of the ring. They even botched some dunks. Even my kids were bored half of the time. It was good but not great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good show, but please go easy on the guilt I really enjoyed the show. I brought my wife and two boys. What I didn't appreciate was the non stop fundraising. We spent well over $150 on 4 tickets, parking and food only to sit down and be told we need to give to the Red Cross. My family gives annually to several worthwhile charities and we don't need to be lectured. My obvious question is whether Harlem Globetrotters give to charity or simply take the money collected and act as a go between to look good without actually donating yourselves. Denver Broncos give heavily and let their fans know about it without preaching. One has to question your motives when you pass around a bucket with no mention of your companies involvement. I hope you folks actually read this, because we have been HG fans for years

Rated 5 out of 5 by from loved the show, my grand daughter was so surprised I got the tickets because my grand daughter loves playing basketball. She was surprised right up until we sat in our seats! the ticket taker was going to say have a great time at the ..and I shushed her, she laughed and said "Oh,she doesn't know yet? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of Fun! We enjoyed the Harlem Globetrotters at Verizon Center. Seats were ok. they probably could have reduced seat pricing for closer to court. Food was outrageously expensive. It had been 40 years since girlfriend and i saw the original Globetrotters. This crew did not disappoint. Lots of Fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They put on a great show! Yes, most NBA rules are ignored, as are most standards of basketball etiquette. However, the talent that this team (and the opposing team, for that matter) possesses cannot be beat. They have been doing this for generations, and there is a reason why they have been at it for so long.

Harlem Globetrotter Tickets | About the Globetrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters exhibition team was formed circa 1926 in Chicago, Illinois and by 1927 was working at the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, where they performed exhibition games before dances. An internal dispute nearly disbanded the Savoy Five permanently until Abe Saperstein took charge of the team. With the remaining players, he renamed the team the "New York Harlem Globe Trotters" and set off touring. Two early Globetrotters players, Albert Pullins, and Inman Jackson, brought with them the showboating and dribbling skills for which the team is currently known.

The early Harlem Globetrotters found a modest amount of success in professional basketball. In 1939, they faced up with the other major all-African American team of the time, the New York Rens. Though the Globetrotters lost during that particular game, the next year they came back and won, and then went on to win the World Professional Basketball Tournament against the Chicago Bruins. The team also won a couple times against the then-Minneapolis Lakers, now known as the Los Angeles Lakers.

Over the years, fans who bought Globetrotters tickets have seen the team face a fierce rival in fellow exhibition team, the Washington Generals, against whom they have a nearly perfect record. The Generals act as a nemesis with an impressive losing record to the Globetrotter's hero with an impressive winning record. Over the years, the rival team has used a variety of aliases in an attempt to portray themselves as different teams.

During their seven decade existence, the Harlem Globetrotters have entered popular culture and are a household name. If you want tickets to a game on the Harlem Globetrotters tour this year, check out our selection and find great seats for you and your family. Get Globetrotter tickets now!
