Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent show My family and I really enjoyed the show! We sat in the orchestra section which provided an excellent view of the stage. We were also close to the aisle so we were able to see the performers, in their costumes, approach the stage. The audio was excellent, we were able to hear the entire show. Great job!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing from start to the finale This was the second time seeing this show in the Peace Center. I saw things this time that I didn't remember from the first. I took two family members this time and both said they loved the acting and animation. The costuming and lighting worked so in cynk with each other. It is by far my favorite show.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unforgetable Theater It is obvious why Lion King has been running for twenty years. My guess is it will be running twenty years hence. It is a breathtaking performance in all aspects, technical, acting, vocal/instrumental music, choreography, and costumes. The portrayal of jungle animals by the cast was so incredibly realistic, it really was not hard to suspend disbelief and feel we were watching live animals. The opening music is probably my favorite, but watching all the technical execution on stage was also a favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent performance I was so impressed, brought back my child hood full swing...I can't stop thinking about it! There was so much to take in and see and enjoy, my mind is still catching up with all the amazing colors and visual presentations. It was stunning, and creative, and awe inspiring. I am thrilled, and so glad I got to experience it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mind blowing! I surprised my wife (who loves the Lion King movie and collects Lions) with the show. It was her first Broadway experience. I have seen many professional theatre productions like Broadway and Shakespeare festival. This production mesmerized both of us and our 2 friends. Costumes, music, dances, and acting was amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Lion King My daughters and spouses had gone with their dad and myself. It was amazing, we girls got emotional on some scenes. Would recommend this Broadway. I'm trying to get tickets to see it again. I flew out to L.A 15 years ago and saw, had to have my family experience the same love I felt for the show

About The Lion King Tickets

In 1994, Disney released a new animated movie. Featuring music by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice, and African rhythms by Lebo M, a stage adaptation of The Lion King opened in Minneapolis, MN, in the summer of 1997 at the Orpheum Theatre. A few months later, Julie Taymor directed the Broadway hit at the New Amsterdam Theater. The musical won several Tony Awards, including Best Choreography, and included a wildebeest stampede, puppetry, and animal characters.

The musical is currently playing at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway and on tour around the world. Children of all ages appreciate tunes like "Hakuna Matata" and characters such as Zazu, Rafiki, Timon and Pumbaa. Who will rule the African Pride Lands? Find out with The Lion King tickets.

The Lion King Plot Summary

Enhanced by Disney songs like "Circle of Life," the plot takes place in the Pride Lands of Africa. When the curtain rises, Rafiki the mandrill helps King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi present their son, Simba the baby lion. Everyone at Pride Rock is happy about the heir to the throne except for Scar, Mufasa's brother. Plotting to rule the kingdom, Uncle Scar chases Simba away from home. In the jungle, Timon the meerkat and Pumbaa the warthog invite the cub to join their carefree "Hakuna Matata" life. Will he ever see Nala, his childhood friend, again? Mixing live actors and puppets, this family show will entertain both kids and adults.
