The Normal Heart was written by Larry Kramer in the 1980s, focusing on the HIV/AIDS crisis in New York City during the early years of the decade. The play was successfully produced Off-Broadway in 1985 and was subsequently revived in Los Angeles, London and again Off-Broadway in 2004. A 2011 Broadway production was also very successful; Joel Grey made his directorial debut with a cast made up of Ellen Barkin, John Benjamin Hickey, Joe Mantello, Lee Pace and Jim Parsons. The play was nominated for five Tony Awards and won three, including Best Revival of a Play. Don't miss this thought-provoking work; find The Normal Heart tickets above.
