The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival is a traveling comedy tour first launched in 2013 by Funny or Die, an emmy-winning website and production company founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. Each show provides the full “festival” experience, complete with multiple stages, street performers, and food and drink vendors. Dave Chappelle headlined the first Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, which marked his return to high profile show business after he abruptly left the hit comedy series, Chappelle’s Show, in 2006. Headlining the inaugural tour alongside Chappelle, was comedy band Flight of the Conchords, comprised of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement.

In 2014, the festival returned for a second year and featured headlining performances from Louis CK, Sarah Silverman, Aziz Ansari, and Amy Schumer. The lineup for the 2014 tour grew, with over 25 performers hitting the stage, although not every comedian performed at each stop.

This year, the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival will once again be headlined by Aziz Ansari and Amy Schumer. Joining the duo will be 18 other performers: Anthony Jeselnik, Ashley Barnhill, Bridget Everett, Dave Attell, Jay Pharoah, Jeff Ross, Jim Norton, John Mulaney, Michael Che, Nick Kroll, Nick Thune, Nikki Glaser, Rachel Feinstein, Rory Scovel, Sebastian Maniscalco, Tim Minchin, T.J. Miller and Todd Barry. The tour is set to kick off on August 28 in Kansas City, MO and will wrap up on October 18 in Dallas, TX, after making 18 stops across the country.

Both Ansari and Schumer have reached new levels of popularity in recent years. Earlier this year, Ansari released the New York Times best seller, Modern Romance: An Investigation. He is also known for his appearances in movies and television shows, including his most well-known role as Tom Haveford in Parks and Recreation.

Since 2013, Schumer has had her own sketch comedy television show on Comedy Central, titled Inside Amy Schumer. Schumer also wrote and starred in the 2015 comedy film, Trainwreck.
