The new production, on Broadway, will be acclaimed actress Cicely Tyson’s first Broadway appearance since 1983, as Carrie, a widow who wants to go home. Cuba Gooding Jr. is Ludie, Carrie’s son; Vanessa Williams plays his wife; and Condola Rashad plays a young woman who befriends Carrie on her journey.
