Rated 1 out of 5 by from We left early. I got these tickets for my husband and he & our daughter & I went. We have loved their music & were so stinkin' excited to go. It was a Christmas show - basically a thing about a girl who runs away with some music here & there. We thought there would be much more of the 'orchestra' performing, but they were basically the backup for the lead singer - lets call him 'the Alanis Morrisset of men.' It felt like we were at an 80's concert. He seemed very proud of his long hair & enjoyed bending over & swirling it around. Ugh. We had been so excited, but we walked out (as did many other people) long before it was over. I have nothing good to say about them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful! We loved it! The show was spectacular. The panoramic images and laser lights; the high energy, touching Christmas story, and resonating music were great! I loved being whisked into a massive mansion with an expansive corridor lined with tall bookshelves and flying books... I loved the words for the young lady in the story that it is never too late. I loved the flying dragons, the steam train winding through the mountains, and the unique blend of voices, strings, and guitars. I appreciated the gracious appreciation TSO showed for their team and us as the audience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now a holiday tradition for us 2016 will be our third year in a row attending the holiday season show. We seem to prefer the second half of the show. The best song I have ever heard live (old Deadhead) was Dream Child in Boston 2014. Bummer that there is no show in Boston this year. Will try Worcester. Not a big fan of Manchester. I recommend the show, just not in Manchester.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had the time of my life. This is the first time I saw TSO. The lights, the fire, the singing, the band all of it, I can't describe how much I loved it. (I even went out and bought on of the CDs). The very first song brought tears to my eyes it was so beautiful. I'm 53 years young and had so much fun, I will definitely will see another show. I saw the show in St Louis. Also I want to say thank you for the money you raised for the children's hospital there. I live in Illinois and drove down to see them. Thanks again for something I will never forget.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Stage Performance/Theatrics As a classic rock "specialist" attending over 10-12 live shows a year for 35 years.... TSO puts on a great show, with larger than life theatrics (pyro, lasers, video screens, fog, etc.) The actual music played is average, and needs a bit of a more unique flavor. Seemed like a Vegas or Broadway production, with the theatrics somewhat providing a distraction for the attuned audience in attendance masking the average musicians. Lacking a drum solo, even though he had a huge set, was hard to see him perform and needs spotlight cameras to highlight each performer. Had me wondering if some music was actually over-dubbed, recorded sound bits with the performers just acting as such. Nice to see for the first time, but overpriced for such a performance of non-original material.

About the Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

In 1996, Paul O'Neill, Robert Kinkel, and Jon Oliva formed the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in New York City. A music producer, O'Neill combined dramatic music with strong lyrics that speak to your heart. With over thirty band members, the group blends rock music, heavy metal, and classical elements. When they perform on stage, the songs link together to tell stories.

TSO's debut album, Christmas Eve and Other Stories, included the classic "O Holy Night" and an instrumental version of "The First Noel." They released The Christmas Attic in 1998 and followed up with Beethoven's Last Night, which featured tracks like "Vienna" and "Mozart." They released The Lost Christmas Eve in 2004, producing beloved songs like "Midnight Clear." Their latest album, October 2009's Night Castle, debuted at #5 on the charts, which is a record for the band. Of all their work, the band is perhaps best known for the songs "Christmas Eve Sarajevo 12/24" and "Wizards in Winter."

During Christmas time, the group delights fans with holiday songs and a dazzling stage show that includes lights and special effects. Critics agree, saying the show is a fun holiday tradition like Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Band members include guitarist Chris Caffery, singer Jeff Scott Soto, violinist Alison Zlotow, drummer Jeff Plate, and other talented musicians. Bryan Hicks sets the scene as the Narrator, and Luci Butler plays the keyboards. When the talent of the band and the special effects are brought together, it creates a show that enthralls and amazes all who see it. Like the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York, TSO brings the holiday spirit to life all across the country.
