About Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre

The Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre, formally known as Riverport Amphitheatre, UMB Bank Pavilion, and Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre St. Louis, is an outdoor amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, MO, a suburb of St. Louis. Opening on June 14, 1991 with a performance by Steve Winwood, Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre contains 7,000 seats and has lawn seating for an additional 13,000 patrons.

Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre was the location of the infamous Riverport Riot, which was sparked by Gun N' Roses lead singer Axl Rose during a concert on the group's "Use Your Illusion Tour" in July 1991.

Along with Guns N' Roses and Steve Winwood, other high profile acts to perform at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre include The Dixie Chicks, Styx, and 5 Seconds of Summer.
