He has released 15 remarkable solo albums, 11 of which have topped the Billboard Blues charts upon release. By the age of 18, Bonamassa was in a band called Bloodline, along with the sons of Miles Davis, Robby Krieger, and Berry Oakley. Can anyone think of a more legendary start to their music career? In 2009, Bonamassa fulfilled his lifelong dream of playing at the Royal Albert Hall in London. There, he dueted in a performance with Eric Clapton, a childhood hero of his. In 2013, Bonamassa played his first entirely acoustic show called An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House. He has also one the Blues Music Award presented by the Blues Foundation.

Joe Bonamassa has an impressive collection of vintage guitars, amplifiers and other equipment. For a while, he compulsively bought guitars he wouldn't touch after purchasing them. He has named his guitar-holding room of his how the "Bonaseum". Fender Guitar Company even dedicated an amplifier model to him!
