About  Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers Tickets 2019 Season Outlook

After a LeBron James injury dampered the Los Angeles Lakers season last year, the Lakers are back with an attitude and a vengeance. LeBron James has spent months recovering from an injury and strengthening his body all while hearing his doubters believe that his illustrious career is finally coming to an end and his best days are behind him. Only time will tell, but every indication is that James is ready to silence the critics one last time.

The offseason trade for superstar Anthony Davis will help James do just that. No one in the NBA is quite like Anthony Davis. A rare combination of height and atlhleticism makes Davis a nightmare to guard on the offensive end. When it comes to defense, it seems like his arms reach to the rafters, blocking any shot in his radius. A true rim protector, Davis will keep the defense in check for the Lakers this season. Antoher big key for the Lakers will be the rise of Kyle Kuzma. The forward has made drastic improvements every season that he has been in the league and will look to continue his ascension and be the last piece of the "Big 3" for the Lakers.

Head Coach Frank Vogel will be in his first season at LA and the rest of his roster is looking impressive. Rajon Rondo, DeMarcus Cousins, Avery Bradley and Danny Green will all be options that the Lakers can trust in crunch time. This team has a great mix of talent and will ready to be prove that all the LA Clippers have his hype. The Battle for LA on Christmas Day will be one to watch.

History of the Los Angeles Lakers

Sports in America are widely considered by most as not just competition, but riveting entertainment. Few organizations in sports embody the entertainment aspect of sports more than the Los Angeles Lakers. From Magic Johnson and the rest of the "Showtime Lakers" to the Kobe and Shaq combo who brought the city three NBA titles, the Lakers know how to bring in the stars. Join celebrities like Jack Nicholson and Denzel Washington and get LA Lakers tickets to see the team in action at the Staples Center.

The Lakers, as their name may suggest, joined the NBA in 1949 in the "Land of 10,000 Lakes," Minneapolis, Minnesota. With star center George Mikan and fellow Hall of Fame players Jim Pollard and Clyde Lovellette, the Lakers' success was immediate as they became the league's first dynasty, winning titles in 1949, 1950, 1952, 1953 and 1954. Over the next half century, their winning ways never stopped and neither did their ability to bring in superstar players. The 1960's were both one of the most successful eras in team history and one of the toughest. They welcomed players like Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, Gail Goodrich and Wilt Chamberlain to the roster, players who would transcend the game itself. Their star power was enough to draw fans in to buy tickets, whether playing in LA or on the road. The decade also saw them go to the NBA Finals six times, but each time their efforts were thwarted by the rival Boston Celtics. It wasn't until 1972 that the franchise got its next title, winning it in five games over the New York Knicks.

The next generation for the Lakers began in 1979, when the team drafted Magic Johnson out of Michigan State University. Along with center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the team earned the moniker "Showtime Lakers" and would become the team of the 1980's. From 1980 to 1988, they won 6 NBA titles, 3 of them against the Celtics. The Lakers have never fallen far off of the NBA contender radar, but after Magic Johnson retired, they needed a big change. That big change turned out to truly be big; 7 foot, 300+ lb center Shaquille O'Neal joined the Lakers in 1996 and that same year the team traded for the draft rights of Kobe Bryant. It didn't take long for Los Angeles to catch Laker Fever once again, and Lakers tickets were once again the hottest ticket in town. Shaq and Kobe did not disappoint, delivering three titles in a row from 2000-2002. Kobe went on to win two more titles in 2009 and 2010. In 2016, Kobe hung up his sneakers and retired as a Laker after twenty years with the franchise. His legacy is unlike any other and up until this year, he was considered the best player to ever wear a Laker jersey…
