Rated 5 out of 5 by from Barbra still has it! Excellent concert. We sat in the nosebleed seats and could not see her up close even with the TV screens. But we could hear her voice and on most songs, she was still exceptional. She's lost a bit of range and scooped a few notes but her phrasing and modulation were still outstanding. Her treatment of some songs ("People," and "Memories,") are the best all time renditions. And she sang a few show tunes and added comments for color/perspective. The orchestra and back-up singers accommodated Barbra perfectly, adding to the enjoyment of the evening and never drowning her out. What a wonderful evening.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Much to be desired The songs she sang were great. The TV Trons were very small and not clear many times, so if you were not sitting up front, as I wasn't, her image left much to be desired. Her political rhetoric was absolutely uncalled for, especially in Canada....and I am a US citizen. I resented the time she took from singing with all her political views. Orchestra and back up singers were great. Talking to the people in front of her was another distraction the could have been eliminated, especially since we had no idea what was going on. The montage of record covers were nice memories, as were the trailers from her movies....but once again, it distracted from her singing. Much to be desired.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Barbra is a phenomenon not to miss It has been my dream to see Barbra since I was a teen and at 63 I finally made it happen. I melted with emotion as soon as she stepped out on stage and started to sing . I loved her singing which I thought was still incredible at her age. I also enjoyed the journey through time with album covers in background, and some dialogue and stories. However, I did not appreciate all the political talk even though o agree with her. I think it spoiled the "moment". Also the mentalist act at intermission was not an appropriate act for her classy show. It missed the mark tremendously. I still loved her!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I have loved Barbra from the first time I heard her sing. Going to see her in a live concert has always been a dream of my family but the price of tickets has been beyond our reach. I couldn't believe it when I found some tickets to her concert in the lower price range. I took my mom and sister who have also been fans for forever. It was the best concert ever and I have been to a lot. Her voice is as strong as ever and I look forward to buying her new album. She is amazing and we will always treasure our experience of seeing her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great concert!!! This was my first live Barbra Concert and I was thrilled with everything. I especially enjoyed her song choices. Not necessarily the most popular but still marvelous. I have all her albums and I don't believe I've ever heard her do Climb Every Mountain and a duet w/Jamie Fox ????? I actually felt blessed. I do have a question??? The lady next to me overheard me ask my husband to get me a program and whatever CD they were selling and she told me Barbra's newest album which won't be out till the end of this month was not available but she said she was offered a free copy with the purchase of her ticket AXS/Ticket Network. If I was given this offer when I purchased my tickets I don't recall but is this still available?????? I can't wait to hear from you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm her biggest fan in Rhode Island I was at the TD Garden tonight in Boston to see Barbra Streisand perform. I never ever thought I would ever have an opportunity to see her live and I am so grateful she came to Boston! I checked this off my bucket list. Her show was amazing! She is elegant and a class act for sure. She can still belt out those songs and even if she couldn't, well I'm still her number 1 fan in Rhode Island. And Barbra if you ever do read this, I'm voting for Hillary!!! Thank you so much for your passion and warmth. Jane E. Johnson

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3rd opportunity to see the iconic Babb's Barbra and company 12 out of 10...She was So comfortable, felt so relaxed and connected with the audience, Her vocals were amazing...I can not get over the fact that she hit the notes as clear as she did...she looked stunning and I'm still In shock that she's 74,Really? Honestly her political dialog was funny, respectful and in good taste when someone of her caliber has the conviction she does...the history she does...Embrace her beliefs...if your on the fence with going to the concert...get over it! It was flawless!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Anticipated Letdown I bought these tickets as a special gift for my Brother; to see his All Time Favorite Singer, Actor, Director and I paid over $1500 for these two tickets only to find that the "Premium Seats" we had were TERRIBLE. the visuals on the screen behind her we COULD NOT SEE so half the time we did not know what she was referring to. there was a small screen above us that we ended up getting a kinked neck in turning up to view. There were at least six Teleprompters along the stage and a large one above that we could see but none of what was happening at the stage level. Barbra was Radiant! Jamie Fox was Brilliant! Seth McFarland should NOT sing and our overall experience was one of an Anticipated Letdown. I had clients at the event as well and many shared a similar experience. I adore Barbra and will return to the videos, and music i have of her singing from the past as she clearly struggled in the present. My FAVORITE memories are of Funny Girl, Yentl, this is how I will remember and cherish my adoration of Barbra. I truly feel I did NOT get my monies worth for these tickets

Barbra Streisand Biography

Barbara Streisand, known professionally as Barbra Streisand was born on April 24, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY. Barbra Streisand's father, who had been a high school teacher, passed away suddenly due to complications from an epileptic seizure at the age of 34, shortly after Barbra Streisand's first birthday. Her mother, who worked as a bookkeeper, struggled to keep food on the table for her family.

Barbra Streisand’s mother sang semi-professionally, and when Barbra Streisand was 13, while on vacation in Upstate New York, she and her mother recorded a few songs on tape, which is when Barbra Streisand realized she wanted to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Even though she had dreams of becoming a professional musician, she had even bigger dreams of making it as an actress. After attending her first Broadway play, The Diary of Anne Frank when she was 14, she began spending free time at the library, studying the biography of stages actresses like Eleanora Duse and Sarah Bernhardt.

By the time she was 16, Barbra Streisand was living on her own, sometimes sleeping on friends' couches to save money. After having difficulty finding acting roles, Barbra Streisand decided it was time to pursue singing professionally instead. She recorded a demo and eventually entered a talent contest at a gay nightclub in Greenwich Village. After winning the contest by unanimous decision, she began singing at the club on a regular basis. Eventually, Barbra Streisand landed a gig at the Bon Soir nightclub, earning $125 a week.

Barbra Streisand never lost her desire to act, and she eventually earned the role of a secretary in the musical comedy, I Can Get It for You Wholesale in 1962. The play received rave reviews and helped Barbra Streisand make a name for herself.

Barbra Streisand eventually signed a contract with Columbia Records, and in 1963, she released her debut studio album, The Barbra Streisand Album. The record reached the top 10 on Billboard charts and won three Grammy Awards. At this point in time, everyone was looking to buy Barbra Streisand tickets. Since then, Barbra Streisand has gone on to release 39 studio albums and has been nominated for 40 Grammy Awards, 10 of which she won. She is one of the best-selling female artists of all time, selling over 245 million albums worldwide, including over 72 million records sold in the United States alone. Barbra Streisand has also starred in multiple movies, such as Funny Girl and What's Up, Doc?.
