Bullets Over Broadway is the story of a young man in the 1920s who is new to the New York playwriting scene. David Shayne is trying to bring a play to the stage, but, as many young people, he does not have the money to fund his ambitions. So, he turns to the mob. The catch? The only way they will let his play become a reality is to hire a mobster's talentless girlfriend to star.
