Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jack Johnson is Incredible! Jack Johnson was unbelievable live! Along with Zach Gill, their opening band: The Bahamas and some friends fit in perfectly at this venue! Mr. Johnson was allowed to bring a large fishing net he hung over the stage and numerous (well over 50, closer to 100) stadium overhanging lights created from microplastic he found on the beach in hawaii. This venue was able to accommodate their own personal props/instruments and it fit in perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great concert, lousy venue Loved the performance but hate the bleachers. No walking room once everyone is seated, so if you need to go use the restrooms or get refreshments, good luck. Also there is no control over where smokers have to be, so pretty much the entire time I was inhaling second-hand smoke and weed. Not a good venue for people who just want to enjoy a concert without offensive odors for 3 hours straight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Jack Johnson did an amazing job! First time at the venue... didn't love. Cool place but ended up in the grass. Apparently right in the walk way and on a hill. I also don't know why people go to the show if they aren't going to listen to the music. Got stuck sitting next to loud people!! But I'd do it all over again to see jack Johnson anytime!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jack Johnson was awesome I thought the venue and concert was great. However, I was extremely disappointed in the ticket purchase process. I specifically purchased seats I wanted because of my preferences. I was given tickets in a completely different section and down in the middle of the bleachers. I absolutely did not want or appreciate that at all. I promised my family this concert and I decided not to pursue a refund that I was offered. This was only 1 week before the concert because the venue would not release the tickets before that. I am a bigger due and I purchased the top row so nobody would be behind me and I was given tickets in the middle rows. We had to leave the seats because they were to small for me and had to stand down in the general admission section. That was a bummer!! Thank god the performer was awesome otherwise I would be saying the whole experience sucked. Please in the future at least state "seats might be changed due to some dumb excuse"

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hang time I love Jack Johnson, he played an amazing set. But...it took 45 minutes from the time the opening act was over and his set began. 45 minutes is an incredibly long wait with out any entertainment between. Loved the show, disappointed in the idol time between sets, you want to feel like your getting what you paid for...entertaiment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome concert, awesome people I enjoyed the concert the whole time! I'm from Brazil and I went all the way from DC to see him, I didn't know how the seats were and my ticket was for a chair but when I got in there the vibe on the grass was so nice that I decided to enjoy the concert from there!!

Jack Johnson - Resources

About Jack Johnson

Long before ever catching a tune, Jack Johnson was learning how to catch a wave. He became a prolific surfer at a very young age and at 17 was the youngest competitor ever in the Pipeline Masters competition. A few years prior, Johnson had picked up a guitar for the first time and began to show talents outside of surfing. In a 2008 interview he told Rolling Stone that the competitiveness of surfing was too much and spurred his transition into music. He left Hawaii for the mainland, where he attended the University of Southern California Santa Barbara and graduated with a degree in film. It was there that he started to more strongly pursue a career in music and entertainment. He helped to produce the surfing movies Thicker Than Water and The September Session; the films showed Johnson's talents both in music and film.

Johnson swung his music career into high gear in 2001 with his debut album Brushfire Fairytales. The record featured the smooth and lazy blues style that is now a Jack Johnson signature and became a Top 40 album reaching #34. The following albums, On and On and In Between Dreams, continued Johnson's rise in popularity. The latter album's single "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing" is a fan favorite and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2006. Johnson's big break was in 2006 when he released Sing-A-Longs and Lullabies for the Film Curious George. The album was Johnson's first #1 record in the U.S. and also spawned his first top 40 single "Upside Down." 2008's Sleep Through the Static also reached #1. Johnson is a frequent collaborator with Ben Harper, ALO, and G. Love & Special Sauce. Johnson released his latest album, To the Sea, on June 1, 2010.
