Rated 5 out of 5 by from James Taylor was incredible in concert! James Taylor has always been one of my favorite musicians and I've seen him in concert before but THIS event was off the charts wonderful! He played all of the old songs I was hoping to hear as well as his new songs that I love ... but more importantly ... he talks to his audiences as friends and that is what makes him such an amazing artist ... and makes us such devoted fans. He spent the entire break with people coming to the stage for pictures and handshakes and introductions to young children ... it was breathtaking to see someone of his stature so down-to-earth not only able but willing to spend time with the families who have loved his work for so long ... it was a great night!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Majically romantic Best concert I've been to in years. The whole audience was electrified with energy. His musicians were top notch and out of this world. He was great and loved " The people of the lake". I would see him 4 times a year if you had him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a Great Time! Rain subsided and skies cleared for a perfect evening out under the stars with these two ultimate performers. Bonnie Raitt was on her game, engaging, music was fantastic and the set list was a mix of old and new. James Taylor poured his whole self into his performance (he always does), and even asked AFTER his encore, if we had time for him to play one more. HAHAHAHA Um, yes! Back up vocals and both bands were fantastic. It was a great time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture perfect evening! James Taylor brought his A game on his home turf! He played all evening long and seemed to be enjoying it as much as the crowd. The weather was perfect, the crowd affable, and this was a perfect venue. I'd urge future concert goers to arrive even earlier than you think necessary, and be prepared for a memorable experience that you'll be eager to repeat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional concert James Taylor gave a fantastic performance which will live with me forever. His voice is as good if not better than when he was younger. The light show was wonderful and added to the show. Overall.....10/10 and gold star for Sweet Baby James! Bonnie is also a great performer and goes all out! Their duet was lovely as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect evening! Everything came together to make this absolutely lovely! Sold-out Wrigley Field, both performers sounding great and having a great time themselves, a crowd that was really into the music and enjoying the beautiful evening - it was very different being in Wrigley, but I would highly recommend it.

James Taylor is regarded as one of the greatest music artists of all time, with his albums consistently receiving high marks by critics. Over a career lasting over 40 years, Taylor has released more than 20 albums and 30 million records.

James Taylor was born on March 12, 1948, in Boston, Massachusetts, but grew up in North Carolina. Taylor began his career after high school, joining multiple groups, including one with his brother Alex Taylor, and one that went by the name of "The Flying Machine." Both groups were short-lived and afterward Taylor fell into drug addiction.

Hoping to combat it, Taylor went in pursuit of a solo career, crossing the Atlantic and travelling to London. While there, he submitted a demo tape to The Beatles' Apple Records label in pursuit of a solo career. Soon afterward, he became the first non-British artist signed to the label. He released his debut album James Taylor in 1969. The album was not very successful so Taylor packed up and went back to the United States.

It was back in the States that Taylor got his big break. After signing with Warner Brothers Records, he released his second album, Sweet Baby James. Powered by the single "Fire and Rain," it thrust him into the spotlight. After an equally successful third album, Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon, Taylor released several more moderately successful efforts. Taylor struck gold again in 1977 with JT, which including the hit songs "Your Smiling Face" and "Handy Man." Although Taylor hit a few bumps in the mid-1980s and early 1990s, he came back strongly upon the release of Hourglass in 1997.

Taylor has won five Grammy Awards, including three separate wins for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male. Taylor has recorded and played in concert with many other artists, including Linda Ronstadt, Carole King, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Neil Young.

In 2017, James Taylor will once again perform his collection of hits in ballparks around America. Wrigley Field and Fenway Park are the most notorious, but there will be no better way to spend a summer night than being serenaded by James Taylor. He has also asked Bonnie Raitt to come along with him for the stadium tour, so the two should put on an exciting show. View the James Taylor upcoming schedule above, and find your tickets today.
