Columbus Blue Jackets Tickets 2019 Season Outlook

The Blue Jackets took some big hits in the off-season, losing both Artemi Panarin and Matt Duchene to free agency.  While this is a loss, it may end up spelling more power play time for key player Josh Anderson.  Last year, Anderson was one of three players to produce at least 40 points and 200 hits.  Perhaps with additional ice time Anderson will be able to breakout and become the top contributor.

Talented players such as Brandon Dubinsky, Boone Jenner, and captain Nick Foligno will be tasked with leading Columbus to the playoffs and hopefully the franchise's first Stanley Cup title. Fans have supported the team no matter what, and Blue Jackets tickets are always a great purchase. The atmosphere in Nationwide Arena is incredible and the team will be looking to make some noise during the 2019-2020 NHL season.

The Columbus Blue Jackets were founded as an expansion team in 2000. They played their first regular season game on October 7, 2000 against the Chicago Blackhawks. The team finally qualified for the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2009 where they were unfortunately swept in the first round by the Detroit Red Wings. Even so, it was a big step forward for the franchise after not making it to the postseason for the first eight years of team play. The Blue Jackets did not return to the playoffs until 2014. This time they faced the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round and lost in six games. Despite the loss, it was the first two playoff wins in franchise history. The Blue Jackets went up against the Penguins again in the first round of the 2017 Stanley Cup playoffs, losing in five games. Columbus returned to the playoffs again in 2018 making it the first time the Blue Jackets had gone to the playoffs for two consecutive seasons. Sadly, the Blue Jackets could yet again not make it past the first round, losing to the Washington Capitals in six games. The Blue Jackets will continue to improve every year. They compete in a highly talented Metropolitan Division that includes the Carolina Hurricanes, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Washington Capitals. Will the upcoming season be the first time the Blue Jackets can make it past the first round and onto the Stanley Cup Finals? There is only one way to find out!
