About  National Finals Rodeo

Want to see the best rodeo riders in the universe? Then National Finals Rodeo tickets are what you need! It’s the premier rodeo event in the world, and the final tournament of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). Sometimes called “The Super Bowl of Rodeo,” this is authentic American entertainment at the highest level!

In December, rodeo fans from around the world flock to Las Vegas to see the best of the best. The event is so special, it even has its own dirt! You read that right – the dirt for the National Finals Rodeo is stored on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and brought out each year just for use in this event.

Here’s how it works: The fifteen members of the PRCA who have won the most money competing in each category of events in that year’s season are invited to compete for the world title. This ten-day-long extravaganza includes nine categories of events, each with its own cash prizes. To win the ultimate title of “All-Around Cowboy,” a competitor is going to need to score wins in multiple events, so the cowboys at the National Finals Rodeo are some of the hardest-working athletes you’ll ever see live.

The action-packed lineup includes bareback and saddle bronc riding, calf roping, steer roping and tie-down roping, barrel racing, “bulldogging” (AKA steer wrestling), steer riding, and everyone’s favorite: bull riding.

The very first National Finals Rodeo (NFR) was held in 1959 in Dallas, Texas. The event traveled from city to city until 1984, when the city of Las Vegas, Nevada successfully bid to hold the event at the Thomas & Mack Center, a venue that remains the rodeo’s home to this day.

The 2020 National Finals Rodeo promises to be one of the most exciting in history, and you won’t want to miss it! You’ll find great seats to all National Finals Rodeo events today at Ticket Network, so dust off your cowboy boots and start planning for a great time in Las Vegas this December.
