About Cirque du Soleil - Zumanity
Zumanity is the first adult-themed show put on by Cirque Du Soleil. The performance explores human sexuality which is different than any other Cirque shows, which are typically more family oriented. It incorporates aspects of burlesque and cabaret to create a production that is entirely unique from anything you may have seen before. If you want a risqué experience, then Zumanity is for you!
Zumanity was created by René Richard Cyr and Dominic Champagne and premiered in August of 2003. The show has residency in the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The idea for Zumanity came about when Cirque Du Soleil founder, Guy Laliberté, was offered to create a new show in Las Vegas. Laliberté expressed that he wanted to produce something with a riskier subject matter. He is quoted saying, “Our previous shows have all been family-oriented and politically correct, which is great…but we're human beings, we won't hide it. We're a bunch of happy campers. We like to live new experiences. Zumanity deals with some of those experiences.” A more sensual twist on the classic Cirque Du Soleil experience, Zumanity has captivated audiences for over fifteen years now.
