Rock of Ages is a musical made for classic rock fans as it includes songs originally performed by Styx, Bon Jovi, and many more notable rock artists from the 80s. The musical follows the protagonist, Drew, who works as a busboy for the Bourbon Room but has dreams of becoming a Rockstar himself. Drew meets Sherrie, an aspiring actress that just moved into the city. He convinces Dennis to hire Sherrie at the Bourbon Room and that’s where their love story begins.
However, real estate developers convince the Mayor of West Hollywood to demolish the Sunset Strip including the Bourbon Room. This leaves these wannabe rockers with no choice but to try to save their beloved workplace from demolition.
