The Houston Texans repeated as AFC South champions in 2019, but the team will have a new look heading into the 2020 season tickets. In a surprise offseason move, the Houston Texans traded one of the best players in franchise history when they sent DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals sent oft-injured David Johnson to the Houston Texans in return. When Johnson is healthy he is a top running back sought after by every fantasy football GM. If Johnson can stay healthy, he and Deshaun Watson can become one of the best quarterback/running back duos in the NFL. Watson's growth as a quarterback in the NFL has Texans fans excited, but always wanting more. The Texans even had a big lead against the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs but it slipped away and the Chiefs went on to win the Super Bowl. Future Hall of Famer JJ Watt will still be making plays on the defensive end, but he has become injury prone and a tad bit unreliable. At full strength, the Texans can compete with anyone. Houston Texans tickets at NRG Stadium always sell out but TicketNetwork can save the day. View the complete Houston Texans 2020 schedule to find tickets today.
The Houston Texans began playing in 2002 as an expansion team, making them the youngest franchise in the NFL. The Texans replaced Houston’s previous NFL franchise, the Houston Oilers, who moved to Nashville as the Tennessee Titans. Due to their young nature, the Texans are one of the only teams in the NFL who have not made it to the Super Bowl, along with the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Detroit Lions. The Texans have played their home games at NRG Stadium for sixteen seasons. The stadium opening in August 2002 and has a capacity of 72,220. NRG Stadium was the first facility in the NFL to have a retractable roof. Bill O’Brien has been the head coach of the Texans since 2014. J.J. Watts has also been a notable component of this young AFC South team. Watt is a defensive end who has made a major impact in his first six seasons with the Texans. He has had 299 tackles, 76 sacks, and 45 passes defended making him one of the best defensive ends in the NFL. If J.J. Watts continues to play with this much tenacity, he will be able to do great things for the Texans.
