Atlanta Falcons Tickets 2020 Season Outlook

When fans purchase Atlanta Falcons tickets they are hoping for fireworks between the prolific duo of Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. Ryan, a former league MVP, and Jones a standout wide out regarded as the best in the league have been a formiddable duo since they joined forces. The two almost led the Falcons to a Super Bowl win before collapsing. However, Falcons fans know the potential of their team, and that's why 2019 was such a disappointment. The NFC South only got tougher with the arrival of Tom Brady. No doubt the best seller of the season will be the home matchup between the Falcons and Buccaneers followed by a matchup with their other division rivals, the New Orleans Saints. If the Falcons can work their way into the playoffs it could set up to be one of their most impressive seasons yet. No doubt Head Coach Dan Quinn is on the hot seat. The Falcons have stumbled after representing the NFC in the Super Bowl only a few seasons ago. The beautiful Mercedes-Benz Stadium helps with the sale of Atlanta Falcons tickets as well. The new stadium holds 71,000 fans! There are plenty of Atlanta Falcons tickets to go around, find yours here at TicketNetwork.

History of Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons franchise was born during the summer of 1965 when then-commissioner Pete Rozelle awarded an expansion team to a Georgia businessman. Wearing red helmets with a black falcon emblazoned on the side, the Falcons took the field for the first time on August 1, 1966, against the Philadelphia Eagles. More than 26,000 fans purchased Falcons tickets and showed their new-found loyalty that day, filling Atlanta Stadium. Like many expansion teams, the Falcons struggled to get off the ground, losing their first nine games and finishing the season 3-11. It took until 1978 for the Falcons to make their postseason debut. Matched up against the Eagles, the team was able to capture its first postseason victory, 14-13. Their playoff run ended the following week as they lost to the vaunted Dallllas Cowboys.

Atlanta was able to find its way into the NFL playoffs a few more times over the next twenty years, with the high point of the franchise coming in 1998. Behind pro bowl running back Jamal Anderson, the "Dirty Birds" trounced the rest of the NFC on their way to the best record in team history of 14-2. Looked at by many as just a great story, the Falcons were not expected to do much that year, but they found themselves making their way to the Super Bowl for the first time in team history. That's where the story unfortunately ended for Atlanta, as they fell to the heavily favored Denver Broncos and John Elway.

The team is now banking the future on young quarterback Matt Ryan, who immediately brought leadership and stability to a franchise in desperate need of it. After the legal troubles and eventual release of QB Michael Vick, the Falcons went into the 2008 NFL Draft with the 3rd pick and a big hole at the quarterback position. They selected Ryan with the hopes that he would help make the team a playoff contender within a few seasons, but Ryan delivered in his first season. Atlanta finished with an 11-5 record, improving on its 4-12 record the previous season. With Matt Ryan running the show, the Falcons and the thousands of Falcons ticket holders have a lot to look forward to.
